Eleonore Koury is a Spiritual & Life Coach, Reiki Master, Energy Medicine, Breathwork, Yoga, Meditation Instructor & Speaker. She is also founder of Sacred Ventures and Luminous Humanity & Earth, inspiring respect and reverence for all humankind, the natural world, and our Earth. In so doing, we are co-creating a sustainable luminous earth and conscious diverse human community.
She is Certified Usui Reiki Master Teacher/Therapist. Since 2004 she has studied the Western and Japanese Reiki systems with international Reiki teachers and has traveled multiple times to Japan on pilgrimage to Mt Kurama, the origins of Usui Reiki, leading Reiki Pilgrimages/Sacred Journeys. She offers a unique synthesis of Western and Japanese Reiki, along with varied esoteric, spiritual, practical & mystical teachings.
Eleonore is passionate about empowering men and women with the powerful technology of Yoga to activate the medicine within and align to our authentic nature and Source connection. She utilizes a combo of Kundalini, Hatha & restorative yoga, breathwork, mantra, music, & soulful movement that strengthens overall health, supporting the nervous, glandular, and immune system while giving a great workout and expanding your consciousness and awareness.
She is the Author of Seeds of Love, A Personal and Planetary Transformation. She has been featured in The Reiki Magazine, published in the Awareness Magazine, and appeared on The Conner Bubble for the Nutritional Literacy – Holistic Approach series.
She has taught Reiki for the Los Angeles YogaWorks Workshop Division, privately in LA, Maui, Ireland, Japan, and other regions. She has also taught Reiki to various health professionals from varied disciplines including UCLA nurses, physicians, and staff, for the Urban Zen Integrative Therapy program at YogaWorks, at IPSB massage school, along with various yoga studios and wholistic organizations.
Her education in bodywork and yoga allows Eleonore to incorporate the principles and practices of these disciplines in her client work and classes, empowering individuals with a deeper knowledge of their body/mind connection and tools for vibrant living.
Eleonore has also journeyed many sacred landscapes, Southern and Northern California, Hawaii, Greece, Ireland, Japan, and recently to Egypt . Since 1996, she has connected with the sacred and healing aspects of sites she is led to. Her journeys inspire all areas of her work. She currently offers Sacred Journeys to individuals and groups in Maui and Ireland.
How it all began
In 2002, Eleonore experienced the quickening of her spiritual evolution and was guided to make changes in her life. Following her inner guidance, she completed her work of 5 years in the youth substance abuse and violence prevention field as an educator and counselor at Didi Hirsch Community Health Center.
She simplified her life and began her sabbatical. Eleonore started Sacred Ventures, leading sacred wilderness journeys in the Santa Monica and Orange County Mountains and Beaches. The focus of these journeys is to bring people to the healing and teaching elements of nature, to restore and renew the spirit, and to facilitate a reconnection with the sacred and the vital life force intrinsic to nature and reflective of what is within us. Eleonore has journeyed to many sacred landscapes: Southern and Northern California, Hawaii, Greece, Ireland, Japan, France, Egypt to name a few. Since 1996, she has connected with the sacred and healing aspects of sites she is led to. Her journeys inspire all areas of her work.
In 2003 she was guided to pilgrimage to Crete, Greece, the birthplace of a highly evolved civilization known as the Minoan Civilization. Eleonore, a survivor of the 1967 and 1975 wars in Lebanon, felt spiritually called to travel during the outbreak of yet another war on the Gulf Coast. She felt that this pilgrimage would in some way, uncover within her psyche, and the psyche of the collective, the memory of a time and place where people and the environment cohabitated in peace, harmony, trade, arts, and prosperity.
She returned to the U.S. with a renewed vision of what was and what is possible. She was drawn to institutions and events that spoke of this vision of a renewed world. She worked collaboratively with varying teachers and healers ranging from work with the orphaned children of South Africa to environmental art projects to restore balance in the psyche of our world.
As a student of yoga for many years, starting with Hatha and Iyengar yoga in late 1990’s, she was then introduced to Kundalini Yoga while on her sabbatical and found it to be a profound vehicle for deep emotional healing and clearing of past trauma and destructive patterns. It was at this time that she was also introduced to Reiki, both practices would be transformational in her life’s path and service in the world.
She was then led to return to Los Angeles in service both to her family and her community. It was in service to her Aunt Fay, who was in her last year of battling cancer, that she began to feel the tug towards the healing arts. Fay nudged her towards energy medicine and encouraged Eleonore to expand her natural gift to heal. Soon after her Aunt's transition, Eleonore attended a Spirit Quest through the ARAS Foundation on Molokai, Hawaii. As in ancient indigenous traditions, the week-long retreat prepared her for a 36-hour quest in the wilderness. Similarly to her journey to Crete, Eleonore was profoundly impacted by her experience in subtle ways. Upon her return to LA, she was attuned to Reiki in June of 2004, leading her to Master Teacher Level in 2005. Through the encouragement and support of her family, she expanded her healing work and pursued an education at the Institute of Psycho-Structural Balancing in 2005, combining bodywork, energy work, breathwork, and meditation to support individuals on their healing and awakening path. She continued her education in Reiki and has studied with international Reiki teachers, including Hyakuten Inamoto, Frans Steine, Frank Petter and Amanda Jayne, William Lee Rand, Colleen Bennelli and more.
She was then led to attend Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training in Los Angeles for personal enrichment and vibrancy, but was soon clear this would be an additional offering for her clients and greatly complimented her Sacred Journey and Energy Work/Reiki offerings.
Her work as a facilitator, teacher, and speaker continues to evolve. Committed to her personal healing and spiritual enrichment, she also networks and researches materials incorporating new healing techniques and refining her practice. Eleonore also studies and practices meditation and yoga with local teachers from varied disciplines (kundalini, Hatha, Iyengar, vinyassa, restorative, meditation etc).
Her passion is to support individuals on their healing and awakening path with a vision of a thriving, united world in harmony and peace.

A combination of cultural immersion, Reiki, Ancient Yogic Technology, Meditation, and Nature-Based Practices. The focus of each journey is to be present with the natural environment, soak in the nourishment of the elements, and enrich the body and soul.
